The fifth season of Desperate Housewives premiered on 28th September 2008. As per the final episode of the fourth season, the series took a five year leap to show the changes in the lives of the housewives. In the first episode of the fifth season, five years after shooting her ex-husband, Katherine becomes envious of Bree who is about to publish her cookbook while Gaby tires to raise her two kids.
Susan tries to hide her new relationship while Lynette comes to know about her kids’ illegal activities and Eddie returns to the town with mysterious new man. Lynette is attracted by the softer side of his son while Gaby tries to hide her downfall in social stature in her amusement and the men in Susan’s life come across one another. Bree feels the strain of balancing her marriage and career while Edie faces the hostility of her neighbors and Mrs. McCluskey asks Katherine to help her know more about Dave.
