Desperate Housewives Season 4

The fourth season of Desperate Housewives debuted on 30th September 2007. The season was initially supposed to air 23 episodes but due to the strike of the Writers Guild of America, the season was cut short by six episodes, which made the season only seventeen episode long. In the first episode, Edie’s attempted suicide shocks the residents of Wisteria Lane while the housewives learn about Lynette having cancer and Bree’s fake pregnancy is nearly revealed. Katherine Mayfair returns to the neighborhood with her new husband Adam and daughter Dylan while Gabrielle’s secret affair with Carlos continues and Susan learns about her pregnancy.

Lynette prevents Tom from attending her chemotherapy sessions while Bree overhears an argument between Katherine and Dylan. Susan is mistaken for a stripper when she goes to get Julie home from a party while Edie tries to get engaged with Carlos by blackmailing him and Gaby reveals a secret to Lynette. Bree tells the housewives about the argument at the Mayfair’s house while Susan and Mike organize a charades party. Stella makes some marijuana filled brownies to help reduce the effects of chemotherapy on Lynette and Gaby is devastated on learning about the engagement of Carlos with Edie. The neighbors welcome a new gay couple while Rex’s mother comes for a visit and learns the truth about Bree’s pregnancy and Edie receives shocking news from her gynecologist. John Rowland comes back into Gabrielle’s life just as Edie hires a man to keep track of Carlos and Bree tries to convince Danielle into giving the baby to her. Bob and Lee put a water fountain sculpture in their front yard, which gives rise to a controversy while Lynette stands opposite Katherine for the neighborhood’s homeowner's association.
