56The third season of Desperate Housewives debuted on 24th September 2006. The season aired a total of 23 episodes. In the first episode, Susan is asked out by Ian while Mike is still in coma after Orson ran over him six months ago. Gaby and Carlos file for divorce while Bree accepts Orson’s marriage proposal and Lynette tries to get used to having another child in the house. Susan’s date with Ian is disrupted by the latter’s in-laws while Gaby and Carlos get a shock when Xaio-Mei gives birth to the wrong baby.

Lynette and Tom try to keep Nora out of the house by finding her a boyfriend and Edie lets her nephew Austin live with her. Nora continues to interfere in Tom and Lynette’s lives while Susan’s guilt feelings ruin her romantic weekend with Ian. Bree cancels her honeymoon trip after seeing Andrew on television while Gaby meets John but soon learns that he is already engaged. Edie pretends to be Mike’s girlfriend when he wakes up from his coma with memory loss while Bree learns the truth about her children’s lives. Gaby is upset when the police instead of arresting Carlos take his side and Lynette tries to ensure that Parker continues playing baseball by bribing the coach and pitcher.
