Well known American actress Drea de Matteo who is especially known for her portrayal of a break-out role Adriana La Cerva in David Chase’s American television drama series The Sopranos is soon to appear in ABC networks’ Desperate Housewives.

Aime Wolfe, the publicist of Desperate Housewives, officially announced Drea de Matteo’s confirmation with the show. Matteo will be in the upcoming sixth season of the series that is doing so wonderfully well. In the series, she will portray the role of Mrs. Vitale, an Italian-American lady who is the mother of a boy named Dominic.
Her husband and son too have recurring roles in the show but the names of the actors who will portray these roles are yet not revealed.

On 24th April, 2009, ABC officially announced that the sixth season of Desperate Housewives has been confirmed.

The next season of the show is supposed to be premiered on September 27, 2009. This season will be placed somewhere in late 2014 and early 2015 following the five year jump in the end of fourth season.
