Sadly for the ‘Desperate Housewives’ fans out there, this melodramatic show, which made us laugh as much as it made us cry, is all set to take the final bow.

Even though we all saw this coming, the fact that the finale is actually being talked about, makes it seem realer than ever, and intensifies the gravitas of the moment.

After having successfully completed an eight-season run, laden with some ups and downs, the show is all-set to bid adieu to its dedicated fan-base.

Talking of the much-hyped finale, the show’s creator Marc Cherry revealed plans of starring in a cameo on the episode. It will surely be interesting to see the man behind all the characters and storylines we have fallen in love with over the years, taking central stage on the final episode!

Joking about it, Marc said that the makeup men and costume designers are sure to have a very difficult time in that episode, as they are faced with the daunting task of making him camera-ready. LOL!

Settling rumors on an impending ‘Desperate Housewives’ movie, the show’s creator revealed that he does not have any such plans yet, and said in reference to the second ‘Sex and the City’ movie, that he will definitely not be flying the girls to Dubai.

As for what we can expect from the episode, Marc said that it will be based on an idea that he had conceived seven and a half years back. Even though he did not reveal anything about the plot of the episode, he said that there is a huge surprise on the cards for the viewers.

We can’t wait to see what that is!

Marc also mentioned that the episode will not tie up all the loose ends, as fans may expect, since they want to end the show on the note that life in Wisteria Lane still continues.
